DZone is searching for an energetic and competitive sales professional to join our rapidly growing organization!  We are looking for someone and who’s highly motivated and driven to help us accelerate that growth!

As a DZone Account Executive (AE), you will be responsible for converting qualified business opportunities by matching the value we bring to the prospects’ needs.  You will manage a pipeline and close high value deals with a “customer first” mentality. 

As a member of DZone’s sales organization, you must thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.  You must make the commitment to learning our business by staying up to date on the industry, our products and competition.  Most of all, you will need to be relentless as you strive to exceed goals!

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth by hitting your individual quotas.
  • Develop and maintain account strategies to drive adoption of DZone products. 
  • Manage pipeline of opportunities from prospect to close. 
  • Present the value propositions of DZone and our products. 
  • Engage prospects via phone and email to identify high quality opportunities. 
  • Research, create and develop targeted prospect lists.
  • Exceed defined activity, conversation, customer acquisition and retention benchmarks. 
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies to improve execution and drive results.

Experience

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a consultative sales role, closing business.
  • Track record of persistence, accomplishments and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong consultative selling ability – critical questioning, ability to listen, analyze, present, negotiate, and close. 
  • Proven “customer first” experience and mindset.  High customer retention metrics. 
  • Demonstrated professional capacity and willingness to learn and develop. 
  • Ability to stay organized and manage a large pipeline of sales opportunities and deliver results.
  • Experience collaborating closely with professionals and peers beyond the sales organization.
  • Experience leveraging data to inform process and decisions, particularly with Salesforce.com.
